Direct Wheeling gives your business access to renewable electricity generated off-site and delivered through Eskom's transmission network. Electricity is supplied under a bilateral Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) between your business and an independent power producer (IPP), while we manage the trading, settlement and compliance, so you can reduce electricity costs without investing in on-site generation.

Own renewable generation through a dedicated wheeled asset.

Micro-Wheeling enables qualifying Eskom direct-billed customers to invest in a dedicated renewable generation facility located off-site. The asset is owned by you, while Phoenix operates and maintains it under a long-term Service Level Agreement (SLA), including management of all Eskom wheeling agreements, trading, and settlement. The energy generated is allocated through the grid to offset your consumption under the approved wheeling framework.
